Hydraulic

Hydraulic

We have the resources, technical knowhow and systems to provide you with a range of high-quality hydraulic services.

Our aim is to provide you with a total service package that is appropriate to the type of premises and your specific management needs, and can cover any or all of the following.

Backflow prevention testing
To comply with legislation, we can conduct testing of the backflow prevention containment device every 12 months. Servicing and maintenance are also available as and when required. Reports are compiled and lodged with the relevant water authorities in line with property owner obligations. The backflow prevention containment device is necessary to ensure the reticulated water supply is protected from unintended cross connection and backflow of possible contaminants into the reticulated water supply system. The purpose of the testing is to ensure the protection and integrity of the system and to safeguard public health.

Pressure limiting valves
In accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendation, we can conduct testing and servicing of the valves and cleaning of the filters every six months. Further maintenance is available as and when required. The purpose of the testing and servicing of these valves is to eliminate risks such as potential loss of pressure and water to the building, and damage to the valve casing, which can result in water leaks. Non-compliance with the recommendation and any subsequent issues may lead to voiding of the manufacturer’s warranty.

Balancing valves
In accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendation, we can conduct testing and servicing of the valves and cleaning of the filters every six months. Further maintenance is available as and when required. The risks associated with not maintaining these valves are potential loss of pressure and hot water to the building, and damage to the valve casing, which can result in water leaks. Non-compliance with the recommendation and any subsequent issues may lead to voiding of the manufacturer’s warranty.

Thermostatic mixing valves
To comply with legislation, we can conduct testing of the valves every 12 months. It is recommended that as well as the compulsory annual testing, the valves be inspected each month to ensure proper operation. Regular servicing and maintenance are also available as and when required. The primary purpose of the testing and servicing of the valves is to manage the risks associated with Legionella, in order to prevent outbreaks of Legionnaires disease.

Tempering valves
In accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendation, we can conduct testing and servicing of the valves and cleaning of the filters every 12 months. Regular servicing and maintenance are also available as and when required. The risk associated with not maintaining these valves is the potential for the product to fail, which may lead to hot water scalding and fluctuating temperatures. Associated damage to the valve casing can also result in water leaks. Non-compliance with the recommendation and any subsequent issues may lead to voiding of the manufacturer’s warranty.

Bulk hot water system
In accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendation, we can conduct regular testing and servicing of the system and cleaning of the filters. The standard across the industry is monthly testing and maintenance. The risk associated with not maintaining this system is potential loss of hot water to the building. Non-compliance with the recommendation and any subsequent issues may lead to voiding of the manufacturer’s warranty.

Hydraulic pumps
We can provide comprehensive servicing and maintenance of hydraulic pumps, including constant pressure pumps, stormwater pump packages, sewer pump packages and rainwater pump packages. If regular servicing is not undertaken, there is potential for the pumps to fail, causing damage.

Services audit
We can undertake a comprehensive audit of all the hydraulic services in the premises, including valves, working parts and the service riser (hot water, cold water, gas) and provide a full report. This can identify any existing issues or potential problems, allowing maintenance or repairs to be undertaken before costly breakdowns or damage occurs.

Emergency call-outs
We know emergency events are the bugbear of building managers, so we always have experienced plumbing professionals on stand-by, ready to respond to emergency calls 24 hours a day.

Documentation
We have comprehensive reporting and documentation systems that can be adapted to fit with your auditing procedures and reporting requirements. These can include the provision of testing, servicing and maintenance schedules and records, the filing of status and issue reports, and the lodgement of compliance certificates.
